One Life Wednesdays – Episode 6, Davos Switzerland!

Here is the newest One Life Wednesdays episode.
Enjoy 🙂

“After Christmas break we all went for our first 6 Star TTR Event O’neill Evolution in Davos, Switzerland. That was the first year for girls Slopestyle, very exciting! All of us made it to finals and I’m stoked on my 2nd place in slopestyle and Kjersti’s 3rd place in pipe! Fun riding with all the girls again, they were all killing it, and the boys through down an intense night final.
It was Kjersti’s birthday, so we surprised her with her first paragliding adventure, flying above Davos after her pipe finals….Next stop European Open in Laax and Arctic Challenge in Oslo”

Human versus nature!

I usually only share snowboard related posts on my page, but today I felt like sharing something that’s very special to me, family! About five weeks ago, when I was on a Roxy photoshoot in BC, Canada, my older sister had her baby number two. I received the phone call with the great news right before I was about to drop off a cliff into deep powder. Since I couldn’t be home, there was nothing better than being surrounded by nature, celebrating the arrival of this beautiful new human!

Les X-Games!

Last week the Europe X-Games went down in Tignes, France. I competed in both slope style and super pipe and ended up 5th and 6th. I had an amazing support crew at the bottom, holding the custom made Roxy “Kjersti” banners! Here are some photos from the pipe finals:

Next up is the Roxy Chicken Jam in Mammoth and Miss Superpark in Keystone, Colorado.
I’m excited for some spring riding and filming before I take a real summer break 🙂

I want to thank everyone that rode, smiled, waited, helped, waxed, massaged, coached, shared, pranked, played music, danced and participated in making this a fun and memorable season!

Creative Course Jam!

Between the Slope style contest and the pipe contest at the Us Open I decided to enter the annual Us Open side event, this year being a multi-optioned and very creatively built course by SPT. With over 50 riders on the course at the same time, it was important to stay engaged not to hit anybody or get hit yourself, yet there was still lots of room for individuality and creativity. Surprisingly I ended up 1st and got to celebrate on the podium with Jamie Anderson and Spencer O’Brian. Check out photos from the night below:
