ME & MYSELF

Hello!

I’m a 29 year old girl who loves to snowboard.

I grew up in Trondheim, Norway which is one of my favorite places in the world.
At the age of 12 I started snowboarding because I wanted to be just like my older sister.
Snowboarding is to me, all about having fun with friends, being creative and challenging myself.

Have fun on the slopes and remember to smile 🙂

ATHLETE PRESENTATION FROM .INC ACTION SPORTS MANAGEMENT

KJERSTI BUAAS

Born: 1982

Sponsors: Roxy (Eyewear, Outerwear, Boards), Monster Energy

Kjersti Buaas is the brightest star shining on the professional snowboarding scene. She is an international snowboard superstar, known for her smooth style and good attitude. She is clearly one of the true ambassadors of snowboarding where it is all about having fun with friends, being creative and doing it with style. Kjersti is by far the most allround snowboarder in the world.

Last season Kjersti got best overall rider at both TTR 6 European and US Open. Two victories that awarded her not only with a big pile of cash but two(!) Volvo XC60’s. At the end of the season she just had to ride the chicken jam to win the over all TTR pro. Unfortunately Kjersti got injured in the qualifications and had to go through surgery.

Kjersti is now up in full swing to get her revenge this season, and the season will be busy with TTR tour, Dew Tour, X Games, X Games EU and the Olympics coming up. It’s not the first time Kjersti has experienced a turbulent and painful build up to an Olympic season. Four years ago she broke her foot and only had three days on snow before Torino. That time her comeback was impressive and she conquered the bronze medal.

Podiums are something that Kjersti got used to over the years. 1999 she won the junior world championships in halfpipe and became a pro. Three years later she surprised the world by setting a new standard to the female snowboarding scene at the winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. With stunning height and massive spins it looked like no one could stop her from winning the gold medal. Unfortunately she fell but still managed to finish in forth place. Since then she climbed the podium of the Vans Triple Crown, European open, US Open O’neill Evolution jam, Candy Jam to name a few.
